インターナショナルスクール、学校見学

カナダ教育フェアが開催された前日に、カナダの学校関係者と一緒に沖縄インターナショナルスクール、アミークスを訪れました。イマージョン教育を取り入れたこの学校では、生徒達が英語や日本語を上手に使い分け楽しそうに授業を受けているのが印象的でした。１１月も下旬というのに、広大な敷地内に建てられた学校の周りには、美しい赤やピンクの花が咲いていました。沖縄の気温は２０度以上、バンクーバーなら夏の気温ですね。羨ましい！！

We visited Okinawa Amicus International School a day before the Canadian Education Fair. Students are immersed in an English environment in school. I was impressed to hear their fluency in both English and Japanese.

Okinawa is one of my favourite places. Even in late November, the beautiful red and pink flowers were blooming all around the school. It was over 20 degrees when we were there. It’s like summer in Vancouver. How nice!
